ABOUT US

 

The Mt. Healthy Alliance Inc. is a 501 © (3) nonprofit tax exempt corporation and is a member agency of the Freestore Foodbank. It is a volunteer driven organization of twelve churches in the area.  Click on the Alliance Members link above to learn more about our member churches. 

 

Our belief is that we can serve more of our community by joining together than we can individually.  Each member congregation provides food and other items needed for the pantry. The congregations also provide financial support and volunteers to operate the pantry.

 

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

Transforming Lives in our Community by providing services with Christian love and dignity.  We do this through:

 

  1. Direct Services in areas where we are competent and not duplicating services.

  2. Referral Services in areas where other organizations are readily available, competent and are consistent with our values.

  3. Collaborative Services in areas where we join resources with other organizations that are consistent with our values.

 

 

In addition several of the churches provide assistance for other needs of the clients. Every 3rd Tuesday from 5 to 7 pm, with the support of Santa Marķa Community Services, we provide a Wellness Program (Health Education, offering referrals to health care services/social services, talks with a nurse, blood pressure checks, referrals for prescription assistance & eyeglasses to eligible families)

We can also provide referrals to other agencies that can help with clothing or other needs.
